Use the search icon at the top of the page to find what you are looking for, or simply type a keyword into the search bar. This will lead you either to relevant places or to related information.

Information on places, routes, and areas

By clicking an icon on the map, you are taken directly to the factual and practical information about a place: its history, stories, and accessibility. You will also find guidance on how to fully experience the place. Here you will find both spoken and written meditations, as well as suggestions for other things you can do at the place or in the surrounding area. You can do the exercises at home, but this is more challenging, as you miss the scents, sounds, and the presence of the place itself. We therefore recommend bringing your phone and earphones into the field and doing the meditations on site. Practical information about access is also provided. Please note that this may change, so always check online for the most up-to-date details on opening times and how to get there.

Icons and legend

The icons indicate what type of place you are at, such as a tomb, a waterfall, or a church. The description behind each icon can be found under the i on the photo of the place. This provides general information about that legend category. For example, with tombs you will find an explanation of what they are and where else they can be found. The color of the icon also provides information.

A place can be:
1) No longer in use (brown)
2) Still actively used (red)
3) “Pure nature” (green)

Yellow icons refer to other locations, such as accommodations and route points. In addition, there are lines on the map that mark routes, leylines, or area boundaries.
