Tjeerd is originally a physical geographer.

He spent the first ten years of his working life in soil research and environmental impact assessment.

He then worked for many years as a teacher and later as a director at the largest school in the Netherlands in the field of personal development, consciousness and intuitive development.

In 2012, he started his own business again, first leading trips in which he combined physical geography with teaching awareness development, and then as a teacher again. In 2014, together with Marian van der Spek, he founded Splendid-life, a training institute for intuition development.

In 2019, Tjeerd wrote the book Levend Land (Living Land), in which he tries to give the earth the voice it so desperately needs in this day and age: it is time for us as humanity to truly reconnect with the earth. A healthy Earth is essential for the survival of all living creatures, plants and animals, including humanity. This means that we will have to work with her as equals again, instead of standing above her and making decisions about her.

In 2021, Tjeerd partly returned to the roots of his working life: the Commission for Environmental Impact Assessment. This concerns the actual and measurable earth and how to ensure that environmental interests play a full role in major decisions about our country. In addition, he still leads trips and set up Gofinestera. This is about the earth that you can connect with and experience.

So the central theme in everything is the earth... In Gofinestera, Tjeerd brings everything together so that as many people as possible can enjoy all the beauty that our wonderful planet has to offer and hopefully we can all gain a greater awareness of what the earth is and what we ourselves are.
