Letting fo of fixed beliefs

See if you have a thought that keeps coming back and is actually bothering you a bit. For example, perhaps you often think: ‘Well, that won’t work anyway’, or ‘I’m not really good enough’. Or it might be simple everyday thoughts.

Take a moment to think about it. Which thought would you like to let go of right now? What are you actually ready to move on from? Feel where that thought is. In your head, in your stomach, somewhere else – perhaps it’s immediately clear, perhaps not quite.

That’s fine, because you can simply carry on and do something with it. And so you can visualise a rose for yourself. A rose is an ancient symbol from the Middle East, which has always held a certain neutrality. We use this symbol for all sorts of things. Just take a moment to bring that rose to the fore.

Then send the essence of the thought, or the thought itself ‘as a little phrase’, into the rose. As a colour, as a word, as a feeling, or as a sort of greyness. Just feel how it goes for you and how it is for you.

Once the consideration is in the rose, place a charge of dynamite inside it. And you let it explode as you breathe out. You blow that whole rose, along with that consideration, to smithereens. All the connections are broken.

Feel what that does. And then you let the remains of this rose go to your sun, and it will burn them clean again. Perhaps you’ll even feel what is being released, what was actually stuck in those old considerations.

And that becomes free energy again, new wisdom that you can use. Well, then you fill yourself up with that sun. And you certainly fill the space where you let go of the thought. Take your time

How does this feel for you?

Let’s do this one more time. So you feel again: ‘is there a consideration’, perhaps a different one, or another layer from that previous consideration. With just a slightly different nuance to it.

And feel again, where do you feel that, what is it? Just a thought that’s bothering you? Perhaps an old perspective through which you’ve been looking your whole life? For instance the feeling of having to be responsible for everything, et cetera It could be verything. Just feel it: where do you feel like letting something go? And place a rose in front of you again. And direct the energy of that consideration, of the old perspective, the old lens through which you used to see the world.

You place it in that rose, and you blow it apart by putting a charge of dynamite inside and detonating it. Feel where the energy is released. ‘Oh, that’s a relief’. And perhaps you feel it differently, or you mainly see it. In any case, the remnants go to your sun. See what energy emerges from behind it. What colour is that? What charge is that? What is being released for you again? Let it go to your sun. It burns it all clean. Place it in the here and now.

And recharge yourself. Take a moment to feel it.

By letting go of old assumptions, old lenses through which you view the world, and releasing their energy through that blowing up, new space is created and new possibilities arise to do whatever you wish. And by truly blowing them up—those assumptions—you remove the connection.

If, for example, you blow up a belief that you must always and everywhere be responsible, then suddenly there is room for something else. Perhaps for a little more ease, a little more freedom. And sometimes you are aware of what you are struggling with.

What are those old perspectives? And sometimes that takes a while. But you can always sense where something feels vital or, conversely, feels old. And then you can simply place a rose there, and let all that old stuff go into that rose, without knowing exactly what it is.

Blowing roses with emotional baggage is a way to release unclear energy from your system. Above all, keep it simple and don’t overthink it; let the energy do the work

You can check again. Do you have a favourite topic yourself where you want to let go of old images, old perspectives, old thoughts? Or perhaps you feel in your body, ‘oh, there’s definitely something stuck here’ – well, then you do it with this topic or this spot. And then you simply place a rose, two roses—you can even place a whole bunch of roses at once—and you let the old energy in, place dynamite underneath, and blow it apart.

Blow the connection out. Essentially, you’re choosing to let go of the old energy and old perspectives, thereby creating space. The remnants go to your sun, and you always replenish yourself with that sun.

Otherwise, you’re left with a sort of emptiness in the place where you let go. And there’s no instruction leaflet saying you’re only allowed to do that once a day. You can do it as often as you like, and for as long as you like.

Well, for now, put one more rose there – all the greyness, the seriousness – just put it in that rose, and blow it apart. Feel what that’s like, feel what it does. Sometimes you feel it very physically.

‘Oh, that’s a relief’. And perhaps you feel it differently, or you mainly see it. In any case, the remnants go to your sun.

The sun burns it clean, and by the end of this exercise you fill yourself up completely. Your head, your shoulders and your torso, pelvic floor, legs, feet. And when you’re ready, let your concentration go again.
