We’ve seen that places have energy, an atmosphere, a vibration, a feeling; they represent something. You also know that you can change something in that energy. So if you make a different connection with the earth, simply from within, you’ll start to feel different.
If you combine this, it also means that you can change the energy of places, make it clearer. And here I’m thinking in particular of your own home or a workspace, your meeting room. You can make that clear and supportive.
Sometimes you’re going to buy or rent a house and someone has lived there with all sorts of unpleasant experiences, and the house doesn’t feel right. So you can clear that. Or you go into a meeting and you can still feel the atmosphere of the previous meeting, the stress, the hustle and bustle.
Or, and this is a step further, you sense it’s going to be a complicated meeting and you simply want the energy to be clear. You want things to run smoothly; you want everyone to come to a resolution together. And then you can also shift the energy for the greater good.
Of course, you could also manipulate it and act out of self-interest, but I always assume that you’re simply seeking clarity, for the sake of the whole, in connection with the earth and the cosmos, and that you’re applying it in that way. So you can look at the space you’re in right now and really take a moment to feel how you’re feeling here.
Let's do it
Let’s clean a space: you are of course grounded, you let your energy flow. Just feel yourself in this space. Are you comfortable there, or actually not so comfortable? What is the energy of this space, the feeling of this space? Suppose you were to see colours in it, what would you see? Suppose you were to feel a sensation in it, what would you feel? Is it tired, is it vibrant, is it actually quite simple, is it clean? Is there confusion in the space? We can take this a step further.
You can simply start by grounding this space where you are sitting. You can do this in various ways; you can create a grounding cord from the centre of the space, or you can create several of them in the corners of the space as well, along the edges of the space.
In any case, you’re making a connection with the earth; you’re grounding the energy in the space. Grounding helps our thoughts to clear. Grounding ensures that things become focused and clear.
So, for example, you visualise that grounding from the centre of the room or from the corners. You also imagine that you are not just grounding those physical corners, the physical floor, but actually the energy as a whole. It might be worth visualising the edges of the room a little more too.
We sometimes use roses for this too; you visualise the roses as a very neutral symbol, but you can also do it in a different way. You make the edges of the space very clear for a moment by defining them with for instance the roses.
Then, from the heart of the earth, you first allow the colour brown to emerge. It can evoke all sorts of associations, but for a space it is sometimes a very pleasant cleansing colour. You may accept that, or you may experience it now by doing it. You let a stream of brown, a clear brown, flow into that room and run along the edges, right through the middle.
You let it take everything with it, perhaps anything that doesn’t feel simple or clear. Flowing right through the room with the brown, or through the space, whatever it is. That brown takes everything with it, disappearing back into the earth.
Then you do the same as with a golden colour. You let in radiant gold from the heart of the earth, it flows hrough that grounding or those groundings along the corners, enter the room. And then you do the same thing again. Let that gold, as a cleansing colour, or the atmosphere of gold, flow through the whole space. It flows, taking everything with it that you want, or whatever just happens, actually, along the walls, the edges of the space.
Then you let the gold go too, and then you feel how it is in the space now. And then you ask the earth again for another colour, but this time just a colour that you want to flow around there.
It can of course be brown or gold, but it can also be a completely different colour – yellow, green, pink, blue, whatever you like. Let that colour flow all around too, take it with you again, and release back to the earth whatever no longer wants to be in that space. Then ask yourself which colour you particularly want to place in the space now.
That is, in our jargon, the energy level you are setting in that space. So you can always tune into that again. Fill the whole space with it. So you’re putting that colour, the atmosphere of that colour, the vibration of that colour, into the space. You feel how this is for you. So you, really, are simply filling the space you’re in, colouring it with a bright colour, or vibration, or feeling.
Feel what this is like! You can do this for this space now, but you can also do it before you go into a meeting or a conversation. Give it a go! Just sit there for a moment, then let your concentration go, and in an hour’s time, see how it feels then.
