Thinking is a fantastic quality. It’s also useful when filling in your tax return and when sorting out all sorts of things. For convenience’s sake, let’s call the part of you that does this your ‘analyser’. It’s that part of yourself that tends to think and think and think. But sometimes it actually gets in the way, for example when you want to make an important decision or when you want to listen to your intuition.
Where is this analyser located? Just think about where you feel it when you’re thinking or worrying.
Now visualise a speedometer. And ask it how fast the analyser is spinning. Let a number between 0 and 100 light up. 0 is thoughtless, 100 is a very busy mind. How fast is it running right now? What’s the effect – how does that actually feel? Now, this is a very special little meter; you can also use it to slow your mind down a bit by turning a knob. Ground your analyser, turn the knob and set your analyser to a comfortable level. Release serious energy and mental energy from the gauge, from yourself and from your analyser. For example, by letting energy flow through it and through your head at the same time. Also let go of the need to think so much… When you’re ready, let go of the gauge and recharge yourself with your own inner sun.
