Trebarwith Strand

Trebarwith Beach is characteristic of North Cornwall thanks to its long sandy beach that is completely exposed at low tide, while at high tide it largely disappears under water. The beach is surrounded by steep cliffs and unusual rock formations, including Gull Rock just off the coast. The area includes flat rock plateaus directly behind the sand, rocky pools that are home to various marine life, and a narrow valley leading to the sea, a popular route for walkers following the South West Coast Path. Nearby are Tintagel Castle, a well-known historical monument about three kilometers away, and Port William, an old fishing port where remnants of the slate industry can still be seen.
