Witte Kerk (White Church) - Heiloo

Located on a gentle dune in Heiloo’s historic district, the Witte Kerk is a bright, single-aisle church surrounded by lush surroundings that reflect the town's name origin, “Heilegelo,” meaning “holy woods.” The church’s white exterior, the source of its name, became a prominent visual landmark in the late 19th century, when it was painted to conceal damage from its eventful past.
