Zuid-Kennemerland National Park

Situated between Zandvoort and IJmuiden in North Holland, Zuid-Kennemerland National Park encompasses around 3,800 hectares (38 square kilometers), stretching from the coastline inward. The park’s varied terrain includes rolling dunes, serene forests, open valleys, and picturesque lakes such as ‘t Wed. Around the park's perimeter are elegant historic estates, while the interior showcases natural dune landscapes shaped by the North Sea's winds and waters. Well-marked paths make it possible to explore the area by foot, bike, or horseback, providing opportunities to encounter wildlife including Scottish Highland cattle, wild horses, and European bison.
