Dun Carloway Round Tower

Dun Carloway, on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, is one of the best-preserved brochs in Scotland. It stands on a rocky rise overlooking Loch Carloway, with wide views across open moorland and out towards the Atlantic. Its tall, circular stone walls dominate the landscape, reaching heights of up to around 9 metres. With its striking shape and well-preserved structure, it is often compared to other famous brochs such as Mousa.
