Dolmen D35

This hunebed provides a concise but meaningful insight into the megalithic culture for which Drenthe is renowned. It is part of a cluster of similar dolmens in the area and can be reached easily by local cycling and walking paths. The monument is composed of large, weathered stones arranged in a straightforward linear pattern, situated within a lightly forested landscape characteristic of eastern Drenthe. Although smaller and less grand than the largest hunebeds in the province, D35 holds distinct character and serves as a clear testament to the region’s ancient past.
