Holstenen

The Holstenen form a striking cluster of massive sandstone boulders scattered within a forested heathland landscape in the De Teut nature reserve. These rocks, some rising several metres high, are marked by natural cavities, grooves, and weathered textures that immediately catch the eye. Surrounded by sandy soils, heath, and pine woodland, the site feels both raw and elemental. Nearby prehistoric locations, such as the Rendierjagerskamp, reinforce the sense that this area has long been a focal point for human activity stretching back thousands of years.
