Labyrinth De Borkeld

In the De Borkeld nature reserve lies a labyrinth that blends subtly into the landscape. It is a form of land art, featuring a carefully laid-out walking pattern on the ground, constructed from sand and locally collected boulders. In addition, the labyrinth draws on long-standing spiritual traditions. It is situated in a landscape shaped by glacial processes, featuring low ridges and a variety of sandy, loamy, iron-rich, and peaty soils where heather, grasses, and scattered pine trees grow. The area is carefully managed for nature conservation and recreation.
